Vintage marusan king boat tin litho non-working friction cabin cruiser w/box nr
This is an early tin litho “King Boat” cabin cruiser with tin boat display stand, removable crank friction handle and in the original box. Marusan (Japan) produced the old King Boat, Stock No. 3206. The Marusan trade mark is on the back topside of the boat and on the box. The boat measures about 12” in length. It has wonderful lithography and colors. The cabin cruiser has metal spring loaded antenna, metal top cabin trim and metal propeller rudder. Unfortunately, when the crank drive handle is inserted in the hole on topside and turned clockwise, it does not activate the friction motor. The old boat is in nice vintage condition. There is a small pink/purple area on the boat bow that may be factory touchups and some edge wear with missing paint along the left topside edge of boat. The old and fragile one piece celluloid windows are in the upper and lower metal window tabs, but are detached from the end tabs. The 12 ¼” x 4 ¾ x 4” box has outstanding graphics in bold and bright colors and imprinted with the Marusan trade mark and Made in Japan. It is in very nice vintage used condition with some minor corner bumps and edge wear with missing paper. The box also has the cardboard packing insert that protects the boat bow. This is a very nice old used Japanese-made cabin cruiser in the original box. It displays very nicely. It needs work to get the friction motor working. It is being sold as is.
