#11 (missing) - 3 Cent 1851-1857 George Washington, black "Philadelphia PA" CDS, envelope, no stamp, rough shape, tears, toning, edge wear, addressed to "Mr. John Kohler Milroy P.O. Mifflin Co, PA.". Some staining from tape, edge wear, etc. Watermarked paper, Letter, 1 sheet, double-sided written, Header: "Philada. March 7th 1855, Dear Brother...". Letter discusses business of the day, purchase of goods like basket & books (at J.C Davis); cotton; drugs (at J.C. Baker & Co.); Tobacco (at Reinold Dash & Moore), etc. There is a tally at the bottom of first page listing vendors and amount spent (see scan).
