Oakland a's athletics sean doolittle metallica gnome (2016 sga) soundchip
OAKLAND A'S SEAN DOOLITTLE METALLICA GNOME - 2016 COLLECTOR'S SERIES Before becoming a World Series champion with the Washington Nationals, Sean Doolittle was closing games for the Oakland Athletics, walking out to the mound to "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by Metallica. To commemorate that and his success, the A's gave away this gnome figure of Doolittle in 2016 wearing a Metallica t-shirt and with his signs of the horn pose. It also comes with a soundchip which plays a snippet of the classic Metallica song. Item remains in the same like new condition as when it was received and comes in original box and packaging. The gnome is protected by a plastic molded cover. Cosmetic flaw: there's a smudge on the front of Doolittle's nose. Issues the could come into play down the line: the beard is a bit flimsly and I wouldn't doubt if it falls out or degrades over time; also, soundchips in these type of giveaways eventually die and sound quality gets poorer. Right now, everything looks and plays fine though. Original owner from a smoke free, pet free home. Removed from box only to check condition and take the photos for this auction. The pictures were taken on the date shown in the photos (May 6, 2020), and only the exterior cardboard box will be handled again and only when shipped. Charity auction: 100% of the winning bid amount will be donated to the Alameda County Community Food Bank during these difficult times. Check out my other auctions (mostly Giants & A's bobbleheads) to support this cause. I combine shipping costs on multiple item wins. Email me with any questions.
