Holey rock hag stone natural beach adder
See photos This Holey Stone was found along the seashore of the coast of California. also known as Hag Stone or Adder Stone. The holes in Hag Stones are naturally occurring either as a result from the boring of a bivalve mollusk called a ‘piddock,’ whose shells look like angel wings or from coarse sand and/or smaller stones repeatedly grinding into a stone’s surface. This one looks like it would make a fine incense holder. Happy bidding. You may wish to add me as a favorite and check back from time to time ~ I will be posting more beautiful and interesting items.
