Clark Gable and Barbara Stanwyke starred in To Please A Lady in 1949 and re-released later as Red Hot Wheels 1962. The first auto racing film with a Million Dollar budget in 1949. The film was re released in 1961 as Red Hot Wheels. This is a rare original Theater Lobby Card to promote the Movie in 1962. The photo features the Special Ice Wall Crash done from the back seat. This rare stunt was reserved for special occasions as it took time to set up and the 3,000 lbs of ice was expensive. The heavy card stock is original and measures 11 in. x 14 in. in full color. This story was based around a race driver that was ousted from the sport for rough driving and then returned after a stint with the Joie Chitwood Thrill Show. This movie was filmed at Indy 500 and other major tracks in 1949. Joie Chitwood Sr. doubled for Clark Gable in some of the racing and thrill show scenes. The movie put the Chitwood Thrill Show in the National spot light. Marie Chitwood my Mom, was able to convince Joie , my Dad, to quit driving the very dangerous race cars and devote full time to the show he started in 1945.
