C1936 deco enamel ski resort badge bromley vermont~fred pabst jr.~robbins attlbo
Offered here is an original badge from the Bromley Ski Resort in Bromley, Vermaont. The Bromley Mountain resort was founded by Fred Pabst Jr., the grandson of the famous Captain Frederick Pabst, the founder of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. It opened in 1936, which is from when this badge likely dates. It has a decidedly modern design, typical of the art deco era. Slightly curved, the badge measures 1 5/16" x 3/4", and has a matte gold finish. It has three colors of hard enamel decoration. There are no chips or losses to the enamel. There are a couple of lines in the white enamel that are not cracks, but rather something on the surface. Robbins of Attleboro (MA) maker mark. Pin and catch are working and excellent. Only one I have seen. Offered with no hidden reserve and a low starting bid. Buyer to pay class post and insurance. (3.00) Three-day inspection/ return on all items I offer if not as described. US shipping only. Thanks. PLEASE NOTE!!!!!!! eBAY HAS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED DELIVERY TO CERTAIN DESTINATIONS OUTSIDE THE US. FOR THAT REASON, ONLY DOMESTIC SHIPPING IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS ITEM. NO BIDS FROM OUTSIDE THE US WILL BE ACCEPTED. THANKS.On Aug-31-20 at 09:23:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note: I incorrectly stated Robbins as the maker. It is actually Bates & Klinke, a competitor of Robbins, in business from 1919. Sorry for any confusion. ces
