U.S. Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Washington, D.C. Souvenir Card. B 23. COMPEX 1973 stamp exposition, May 25 - 27, 1973, Chicago, Illinois. Reproduces as block of four Scott #245 $5 (denomination crossed out) Columbian Series stamp, originally issued January 6, 1893. "The vignette depicted in this block of engravings was adapted from an original die of the $5 denomination of the 1893 Columbian Series postage stamps... the tint used here is that of an enlargement of the vignette 'Columbus in His Study.'" This card has a pictorial first day of show cancellation of a vertical strip of two Scott #1474 8 cent Stamp Collecting stamps, May 25, 1973, COMPEX Sta., Chicago, Illinois. Card measures 10 1/2" x 8 1/2".
