1964 innsbruck winter olympics silver 50 schilling-alpine ski jumper
This is the only Olympic design coin minted by the host country/Austria for the winter Olympic games held in Innsbruck in 1964. The front/obverse shows a skier/ski jumper with the Alps in the background & the Olympic rings at the top of the coin. The back/reverse has the coats of arms from the nine Austrian provinces & the coin denomination. It is 34 mm in diameter (a bit larger than a U.S. half dollar) & weighs 20 grams - 90% silver. On the plain/non-reeded edge, it says ‘Fuenfzig’ (Fifty) & ‘Schilling’. Very nice condition - the coin is actually pretty shiny although it has a matte finish. Shipped in soft plastic coin flip. Will combine shipping on multiple purchases.
