1930's movie poster - mickey rooney in "the big chance" - boxing movie
Original 1930's poster/playbill, approx. 6" x 18", for the movie "The Big Chance", a 1933 movie about boxing, which had 13 year old Mickey Rooney in a supporting role. The graphics have a drawing of Mickey Rooney older than 13, and more as he appears in the "Andy Hardy" films of the last 1930's, which is likely when this poster was printed. Reads: "COMING! MICKEY ROONEY IN 'THE BIG CHANCE' Thrilling Story of the Prize Ring and Crooked Fight Promoters WITH AN ALL-STAR CAST. ADDED ATTRACTION A TRAILER TRIP THROUGH Yellowstone Park See America's Wonders of Nature". Blank space neat the bottom for inserting the name of the theater. At bottom is "R.C.A. BEAM POWER SOUND". Printed by Central Show Printing Co., Mason City, Iowa. On pulp paper with a few tears neatly repaired from behind with archival document tape; a few small edge chips and edge tears. Handle with care.
