ANTIQUE TOBACCO FELT BOSTON BRAVES/JOE CONNOLLY Circa 1915Baseball theme Features the image of the Major League Boston Braves' left fielder, Joseph "Joe" Connolly (1884-1943); he played for the Braves from 1913 - 1916 including being a prominent member of the team during their win of the 1914 World Championships; particularly valuable to the team because he was versatile as he batted left handed and threw right handed; he was also on the team in 1915 when they challenged for the National League Championship (N.L. as seen on the felt). The felt is roughly 5 1/4" x 5 1/2", light weight felt flannel Overall very good condition; has a smudge, looks like a manufacturing ink flaw and some line edge distortion from the same; did not try to clean it.
